A season three episode of Outlander is in danger of being cancelled after it was revealed the series was going to have a celestial season four.
The popular series was set to begin filming in early 2018 but has since been postponed until at least 2020.
Producers of the hit drama are facing an unprecedented backlash from the show’s loyal fans, who have called for the show to be cancelled.
A statement on the series website says: “The producers of Outland, which is an original drama series written and produced by Caitriona Balfe and written by Caitrin McKenna and John Bradley, have confirmed that Outlander season four will not be happening.”
Outlander season five is expected to premiere in 2021.” “
We are so sorry that this has happened and will be working hard to ensure it does not happen again.
Outlander season five is expected to premiere in 2021.”
While some fans have defended the decision to postpone the filming, many have been outraged by the cancellation.
Fans have called the decision a travesty, claiming that the show is “loved by millions of people worldwide”.
“I can’t believe it,” one user wrote.
“I can only assume that it is a mistake because it’s the last season.”
“Outlander” is currently on a one-off two-season arc, with the first episode premiering in the US on July 14, 2021.
Season three will also be premiering this year on Sky Atlantic.
