Gotham is back!
Following a brief stint as the Gotham City of the future, Catwoman has returned to the city to investigate a mysterious case involving a missing billionaire, as well as some unlikely allies.
Season 9 will introduce Catwoman, one of the most iconic characters in the DC Universe.
Catwoman’s return will be followed by a return to the “Catwoman of Gotham,” played by series regular Stephanie Beatriz, who also voices Catwoman in the upcoming animated series Batman: Gotham.
The new season also introduces new villains, including Scarecrow and the Penguin, who have both been absent from the series’ history.
“It’s a whole new world,” executive producer Geoff Johns said.
“We’re very excited to bring back Catwoman and Stephanie Beatris.”
“The show is the most original, most original Batman show on television.
We have no idea what we’re doing with her.
We don’t know what to expect.
We just hope the audience responds well to her presence.”
In addition to Catwoman returning to Gotham, the series will also introduce new Gotham residents like Scarecrow, Penguin, The Riddler and Killer Croc.
The villainous villainous Penguin is a direct result of the introduction of Catwoman.
He has a deep understanding of her past and will use that knowledge to attack Gotham City in the future.
Gotham also sees the return of several iconic characters from the comics, including Penguin’s son Damian, The Joker, the Penguin’s wife Nygma, Catman and more.
“We’re always trying to keep the fans entertained, and we can’t wait to bring Catwoman back,” Johns said, “so this season we are adding a whole lot more.”
With Catwoman being featured in this year’s season, the season will also feature a lot of new villains.
“She has been a very important part of the show since the very first season,” Johns explained.
“The audience has come to know her.
The fans have grown to love her.
It’s very exciting for us to have a character like Catwoman on the show.
She’s a very powerful character.”
Batman: Gotham, a Netflix original series that follows the exploits of Gotham’s rogues gallery of criminals, stars Michael Emerson (Penguin), Michael Emerson Jr. (The Riddler), Michael B. Jordan (Bruce Wayne) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman) and premieres March 16, 2019.
