THAILAND – Thailand is now on lockdown following a massive wildfire which killed at least nine people and destroyed more than 30 homes.
Firefighters battled the blaze at the border between Cambodia and Thailand on Monday afternoon.
There were no immediate reports of casualties and the fire is now under control.
A Thai police spokesman said there was no sign of any escape routes.
The blaze broke out in the mountainous region of the border town of Trawong late on Monday.
Fireworks were set off as firefighters tried to put out the blaze, but the flames soon engulfed the surrounding area.
The Thai firefighting team has been deployed to the area to prevent any further spread of the blaze.
